Description

The Product Manager 2 conceives of, develops, delivers, and manages products for customer use. The Product Manager 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

Location: work at home anywhere

The Product Manager 2 in our pharmacy space leads all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace, by developing products to meet specific customer needs and achieve specific cost and success outcomes. Once products are launched, monitors efficacy of products and uses customer and business partner feedback to ensure products are meeting customer needs across each customer segmentation, adjusting products over time to continue to achieve the desired outcomes. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures .Independently develop ideas with potential into business opportunities from conception to salable product, to include cost benefit analysis, risk mitigation, recommendations and action plans


Build strategic plans for new products
Define the new product strategic direction and impact on Humana’s business
Define market size and approach to competing effectively relative to competitors
Develop the implementation plans and hand-off points to the business operators in order to bring new business and products to market
Define and secure necessary external partnerships
Analysis of new business ventures
Financial modeling for new businesses/new lines of business
Assess the health landscape as well as related industries, evaluate competitive offerings and determine where gaps in current capabilities exist
Produce user requirements, specifications, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications


Role Essentials


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Three or more years of professional work experience
Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize data
Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint


Role Desirables


Health plan and/or PBM experience
2 years of product management experience (driving end to end product strategy)
