The Team
Calvin Klein FTW has been in-housed starting with SP21 and includes both the CK Jeans & CK sportswear lifestyles.
This division consists of the following teams:
Merchandising– Responsible for the planning and implementation of a successful product strategy which meets the territory specific product requirements and delivers on sales, productivity and margin targets
Design – drives the visual creation of the product line, working closely with Creative Direction in NY, Merchandising and PD in order to bring the product vision to life
Product Development – drives the development process of product made for the European market. Working closely with Merchandising, Design, factories and planning teams in order to deliver high-quality, profitable collections on-time to market
Sales – Ensure effective and consistent communication between division, country sales and retail. Supports the presentation of collections to country sales teams and key accounts
The Position
The role of the Product Development Coordinator Footwear is to coordinate and support the Product Development process within the different product lines for the Calvin Klein Footwear business, on a daily base from creative concept into pre-production stage with Design and Product Development located in Italy, Amsterdam and China.
Reporting into the Woman Product Development Manager, s/he coordinate and support the development and pre-production process with all relevant parties involved (Design, Merchandising, Sales, Product Development), in order to achieve commercial product execution align with corporate goals, the calendar (critical path) and financial key performance. With an extensive passion for footwear, the Product Development coordinator is the key supporting figure and link throughout the entire development process from SRF (sketch request form) into SMS (Salesmen Samples) with everyone involved.
Key Responsibilities:
Support PD managers with the day-to-day work in order to get familiar with footwear development
Be the link between all parties involved to keep track of the Calendar
Setup, monitor and control PLM, projects and best practices
Maintain costing overviews
Lead accurate product specifications and ensure they are maintained and communicated to all parties involved at all times
Maintain accurate and up to date systems (PLM) on all relevant aspects that result in an efficient flow of information between PD Amsterdam, Design in Italy and Buying office in Asia, development- and material team
Maintain digital and physical set up of the material library
Communication between internal/external partners to resolve Product Development issues
The Ideal Candidate:
Flexible and open to travel within Europe as well as Asia
Excellent problem solving ability and solution minded
A passion for Footwear, sustainability and details
Knowledge of computer systems (PLM, MS Office)
Excellent organizational and communication skills necessary
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
Project management skills
Pro-active, solution driven attitude
Fluent in English
