Description

Responsibilities

The Senior OTC Formulary Development Professional owns the development of an over-the-counter formulary that balances product quality with program cost for the OTC line of business. The Senior OTC Formulary Development Professional will work closely with Pharmacy Procurement, Operations and Consumer Experience groups to ensure the proper mix of OTC products, identify trends, monitor product eligibility for OTC benefit programs and verify that product quality does not negatively impact the member experience or plan costs.

Responsibilities


Use market and industry knowledge to lead the development of an OTC benefit formulary that adheres to CMS guidelines for OTC programs
Facilitate product reviews with Professional Practice, Clinical Services, Compliance and Legal teams.
Work with supply chain partners to identify superior quality products that will help reduce overall costs of the OTC benefit program to internal and external clients
Identify Rx-to-OTC switches beneficial to target member demographics
Develop, socialize and manage product suggestion intake process
Partner with Drug File Team to ensure desired product quality
Develop reports and dashboards to monitor member feedback and track return reasons
Work with OTC account manager to identify client's OTC product requests, product quality pain points
Monitor client program costs and recommend areas of improvement
Work with OTC Consumer Experience leader to identify formulary gaps
Oversee manufacturer relations
Provide annual and quarterly OTC item projections to procurement and inventory
Explore and implement OTC product growth opportunities


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Pharmacy industry knowledge
Experience in a supply chain or operations role
Research and strategic analysis skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Associates working in the state of Arizona must comply with the Tobacco Free Hiring Policy (see details below under Additional Information) and upon offer will be subjected to nicotine testing as part of a 10-panel drug test


Preferred Qualifications


Master's Degree
OTC or Rx Formulary management experience
OTC program experience
Manufacturer relations experience
Experience in a product management role
Relationship management skills
