Description
The Product Owner 2 is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The Product Owner 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities
The Product Owner 2 maximizes value of product created by Agile team. Liaises with stakeholders and the development team ensuring the right product is being built, in the right order, within budget and by the deadline. Serves as the Agile team's primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
This specific role will maintain product owner responsibility for two separate programs/applications. The first being Humana Pharmacy's Solutions Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) and the second being the Humana Pharmacy Dispensing (HPD) Application, a middle-ware responsible for the transmission of pharmacy and member related data from front-end applications (where prescriptions and OTCs are processed) to back-end applications (where prescriptions and OTCs are dispensed).
Required Qualifications
Experience problem solving and consultation within complex environments
Excellent verbal and written presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Product Owner and/or Product Management Experience
Product Owner and or Product Manager Certification
Experience in IT Business Analysis, including artifacts development
SAFe Certification
Experience with a requirement management system (preferably Azure Dev Ops)
Extensive experience writing requirements and engaging multiple business stakeholders to gather needs and drive priority over an extensive backlog of work.
Familiarity with Humana Pharmacy Solutions (people, processes and members)
Experience in preparing post production validation plans and operational readiness plans for released functionality impacting specific user groups
Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle, Waterfall and Agile Development Methodologies
