Due to the increasing adoption and integration of the Power Platform, we are seeking a Power Platform Strategy Principal who will define how Humana best utilizes the Power Platform across all lines of business - impacting more than 45,000 users. This includes being viewed as the enterprise Power Platform internal expert, bringing cutting edge ideas into Humana (as appropriate), fully understanding connection points and downstream impacts across technologies. From an influence perspective, the Principal will spend the majority of time collaborating with leaders in IT including Segment owners, our Segment CIOs, as well as functional leaders outside IT who can be partnered with to view Power Platform Products as key drivers of their business. Further, the Principal will protect and advance Humana's interests externally by representing the company on Microsoft's Customer Advisory Board.
This is an individual contributor role with many matrix relationships across the enterprise. The position can be based anywhere within the lower 48 states.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Lead initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources
Bring expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations and plans based on company and external data analysis.
Ensure that policies and procedures align with corporate vision.
Select, develop, and evaluate personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function.
Work with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies.
Advise one or more areas, programs or functions and provide recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance
Act as an advanced subject matter expert competent to work at very high levels in multiple knowledge and functional areas across the enterprise.
Create strategic roadmaps and gain corporate support for the continued implementation of the Power Platform, including new features and products offered by the vendor, in alignment with Humana's standards
Capture platform success stories and user experiences to continuously improve the product, promote use in new areas, and articulate the value of the platform to the enterprise
Tight partnership with Enterprise Architecture and Data Governance to ensure the platform is aligned with future direction
Partner with development and delivery partners for the timely and correct delivery of features
Liaison to the vendor for escalations, feature recommendations, support, and training needs
Define the KPIs to measure the success of the platform; monitor the KPIs for leading and trailing indicators of success or concern
Key Candidate Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess extensive and relevant technical experience (typically 10 years) including several years of project leadership. He/she will have proven expertise with back-end administration of Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate, including license management, governance controls, capacity management, and Microsoft's Center of Excellence. This person will have a record of success in managing multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail, particularly in scenarios that require strong influencing skills to achieve results. Bachelor's degree is required, but an advanced degree would be a strong plus.
In addition to the above, the following technical qualifications and personal attributes are also sought:
Experience in Microsoft Power Platform front-end development
Advanced knowledge of presentation tools (i.e., PowerPoint), proficiency in managing SharePoint content, and knowledge of other BI/Visualization tools, their administration, and their cost models
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and to develop a strategic vision, then make the vision a reality by partnering effectively with functional specialists to achieve successful tactical delivery.
Experience synthesizing complex and/or abstract ideas into meaningful and strategically focused communications and messages delivered to diverse audiences, including non-technical audiences.
Highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage many diverse stakeholders and SMEs (i.e., Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance Office, Platform Technical Support, etc.) and win their co-ownership of the outcome
Demonstrated ability to leverage data and formulate it to make decisions and drive actionable insights
Experience leading changes to processes, systems, organizational structure, work groups/ workflow or culture
Proven ability to manage budget to request funding, deliver expected value, manage actual spend for platform development, and achieve targeted goals within the established deadlines
Several years (typically 5 ) of digital strategy and/or product management experience delivering large complex programs, and implementing digital or data literacy programs to educate large audiences of diverse expertise
Current or recent experience in a large, highly matrixed company, with proven ability to influence leaders and key stakeholders in such an environment
Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with senior and executive level audiences
Professional credentials such as Microsoft Data or Power Platform Certifications (i.e., DA-100, PL-900, or PL-100) and/or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Certification (AZ-900)
Additional Information
NOTE: Interviews will be conducted virtually through web conferences tools, including audio and video. Candidates can expect at least two rounds of interviews and should plan to visually share a sample of work demonstrating their ability to define and communicate a strategic roadmap.
