Job Summary
About the team Comcast's Emerging Product Experiences team is focused on discovering & developing new connectivity & entertainment experiences that customers won't be able to live without. We are a diverse group of product managers, engineers, designers, and analysts that work together to imagine new & better ways for customers to stay connected and be entertained. This new role will be responsible for conceptualizing, aligning, and delivering data-driven product strategies to re-imagine how customers will stay connected to everything they love in- and out of the home. We're looking for people with a passion for design thinking, a gift for identifying new areas of opportunity, and experience in standing up new products and services at a global scale. This job is an individual contributor role that does not have direct responsibility for supervision or performance management of staff.
Job Description
What you'll do
Internalizes and represents the voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle.
Lead product discovery of new opportunities based on qualitative and quantitative insights that you'll help generate in partnership with research and analyst teams
Become familiar with industry trends, adjacent technologies & assess competitive landscape to help inform the product strategy
Partner with design & engineering to test feasibility, viability and usability of product proof-of-concepts
Strengthen product strategies and secure buy-in across the organization by engaging and aligning with other product teams and stakeholders
Partner with product operation teams to set realistic but aggressive milestones from discovery to delivery.
Participates in the strategic planning for enhancements to product content, pricing, packaging and features. Participate in defining product business and functional requirements
Preferred qualifications
Background in product management
Experience in design thinking or other product discovery methodologies
Experience defining product strategies and defining product value propositions
Experience with end-to-end product delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions related to a product
Experience communicating and driving alignment cross-functional teams
Strong communication and/or story telling skills
Education
Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
