Best Buy is seeking an experienced Product Manager knowledgeable in data and agile software development practices to work on key Digital Strategy and Technology products to help build out our Customer Journal product.
This role will work within the Customer Journal as a Service team to build out data enablement services to unlock the value of Customer Journal data. This role will be responsible for managing the product through new features and capabilities via objectives & outcomes, and guiding quality delivery into production. This role is central to ensuring our Customer Journal product is ready and able to handle the needs of our consumers and satisfy the needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in day-to-day product team activities, driving high-quality customer experiences and exploring what is possible with evolving platform products, devices, and tools
Effectively translate business strategies into product strategies, roadmaps, product OKRs, and outcomes, to deliver against our core customer value propositions and our company strategic and financial goals
Help manage the creation and maintenance of user stories and acceptance criteria for new features and enhancements leveraging multiple work streams
Work within a matrix organization collaborating with business stakeholders, product managers, cloud engineers and architects, user experience (UX) teams, project managers, and other relevant digital and technology and business teams
Identify new opportunities, define the business case, and drive organizational alignment
Generate and implement big ideas to drive business improvements, innovation, and scale
Analyze and provide reporting metrics to leadership on product growth and development
Consult as subject matter expert (SME) with stakeholders on available data and customer journal services
The successful candidate will have a proven ability to:
Build complex APIs at scale, leveraging cloud-based technologies
Understand large scale data and data architecture to drive automation and action
Analyze complex data sets and leverage that analysis to make data-driven product decisions
Prioritize objectives and outcomes based on competitive analysis, industry trends, emerging technologies, and company vision
Influence cross-functional team(s) without formal authority
Articulate clear and concise objectives and outcomes for new products and new features
Work under rapid development cycles with medium to large teams to achieve a common goal
Demonstrate a track record of managing products, prioritizing customer goals, and orchestrating the delivery of excellent products
Working knowledge of Atlassian Product Management tools – Jira, Confluence, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
2 or more years of relevant Product Management experience in a highly technical space
1 or more years experience with indirect team management/ leadership/ work direction
1 or more years experience in strategy creation, customer-focused solutioning, cross-functional leadership, etc.
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing, Communications or related field
Preferred Qualifications
4 or more years of Product Management experience
1 or more years of people management experience
Experience building APIs
Experience with customer-centric data
Ability to understand basic and complex architectural diagrams and data flows
