Description
The Strategy Advancement Advisor provides data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. Provides business intelligence and strategic planning support for business segments or the company at large. The Strategy Advancement Advisor works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
The Strategy Advancement Advisor leads initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations and plans based on company and external data analysis. Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
This role will lead the strategy for Power Platform. This person will be responsible for research of industry trends, including insights from leading authors such as Forrester and Gartner, to make recommendations for the organization. Defines the 2-5 year roadmap for enterprise enablement of the Power Platform, as well as seek executive sponsorship for buy-in and funding. Partners with vendors, such as Microsoft, to influence product development and maintain awareness of coming changes and enhancements. Leads internal initiatives for furthering adoption and education around tools and techniques, such as implementation of the Center of Excellence for Power Platform. Suggests additional tools that belong in our BI 'storefront' to provide added capabilities (such as location intelligence) and meet user needs. Leverages data and analytics to measure strategy success, using storytelling to synthesize information and effectively convey outcomes of data analysis. Will present strategy to leadership, as well as associates throughout the enterprise. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
6 or more years of technical experience
4 or more years of talent management or adult education, focused on a technical curriculum
2 or more years of project leadership experience
Proven experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate
Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and other presentation tools
Team player and strong collaborator both within the department, as well as Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance Office, and Platform Technical Support teams
Possess a blend of business and technical savvy that includes a big-picture vision and the drive to make the vision a reality
Demonstrated ability to develop a strategic vision and bridge that with the tactical delivery & drive consensus accordingly
Experience synthesizing complex and/or abstract ideas into meaningful and strategically focused communications and messages
Excellent written communication skills and story-telling
Ability to leverage data and formulate it to make decisions & drive actionable insights
Demonstrated ability to think creatively
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently through personal organization and commitment to deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree
Prior experience working from home or with remote team members
Microsoft Data or Power Platform Certifications (such as DA-100, PL-900, or PL-100)
5 years of digital strategy and/or product management experience delivering large complex programs
Additional Information
